Freedom of Information Act ("FOIA") for Immigration Records
Sometimes you may need information that is contained in your government immigration record, which is called an alien file. There are also several government databases that contain information about your entries and exits from the country, any applications you were a part of, and any times you have interacted with immigration enforcement.
ℹ️ Clients often need to get a copy of these records in order to explain something that is unknown about their immigration history, to determine where they stand.
For example, we have helped clients who came into the country as children, when no one had records that explained how. We have helped some clients prove that they are U.S. citizens, by establishing that their parent naturalized while they were under 21. Other times, clients may have had an interaction with immigration enforcement, but are not sure exactly what happened because they didn’t understand.
☀️ We can assist you by sending requests to the relevant government agencies to get a copy of any records you need.
💳 We handle FOIA applications and evaluations on a flat fee basis, and charge $800 for the whole process.
We will begin work on your case immediately upon payment, and work on your case without delay.
Our flat fee includes:
✔︎ Drafting all of the relevant forms, and sending them to you for signature.
✔︎ Providing checklists and direct support to help you collect the required supporting documents.
✔︎ Submitting your application package.
✔︎ Responding on your behalf to any requests for evidence.
✔︎ Reviewing the FOIA results with you to determine if they answer our questions.
🖊 📋 After you make the first payment, we will e-mail you an Attorney-Client Contract that you can sign electronically. Then, we will e-mail you a link to our online intake form, as well as a checklist of items to start collecting.
💬 We are available by e-mail, phone, and video to answer your questions throughout the process.
