Remove Conditions on Your Green Card — While Still Married
If you received your green card through marriage, and were married for less than two years when it was approved, you were granted a conditional permanent resident card valid for only two years. To stay in status and get a full 10-year green card, you must file Form I-751 to remove the conditions within the 90-day window before your card expires.
